As a general rule for the tutorials I write on this blog I expect at least a basic level of Objective-C and iOS understanding. These will mostly be advanced techniques, or helpful tips for common use cases. Also, I write in the style of Modern Objective-C, which means things like not synthesizing properties or forward declaring methods.
